LICENSED MASTER SOCIAL WORKER WITH A SPECIALIZATION IN EARLY CHILDHOOD MENTAL HEALTH
- Jackie is a Licensed Master Social Worker with specialized expertise in early childhood mental health. She holds a Master of Science in Infant Mental Health and Developmental Practice (MS-IMHDP) and a Master of Social Work (MSW), both from Adelphi University.
- In addition to her role at Solutions Counseling, Jackie serves as a Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST) worker and an Other Licensed Professional (OLP) clinician at Hope for Youth. Her diverse clinical experience spans preschools, hospitals, agencies, and nonprofit organizations. Early in her career, she was actively involved in advocacy work, including her participation in the 12th Annual Battered Mother’s Custody Conference during her undergraduate studies at Siena College.
- Jackie works with children of all ages, adolescents experiencing anxiety and depression, and parents facing parenting-related stressors. She has extensive experience supporting families navigating challenges such as childhood trauma, postpartum depression, teen pregnancy, child loss, and complex developmental or behavioral concerns.
- Using evidence-based approaches, Jackie provides therapy for children and families impacted by trauma, clinical diagnoses, and developmental challenges. Her expertise includes supporting children with developmental delays, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, sensory difficulties, medical trauma, domestic violence exposure, and familial substance use. Jackie is trained as a Circle of Security facilitator and is skilled in Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), the Pyramid Model, and Multidimensional Family Therapy. She strongly believes that effective child therapy is a collaborative process involving caregivers and treatment providers.
